Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

1. What Curbmate Is

Curbmate ("Company", "we", "us") is a software platform that lets independent operators ("Operators") launch and run their own local trash bin curbside service. Curbmate provides the website, dashboard, customer management, and payment tools. Curbmate does not itself move bins or provide the physical service — that is performed by the independent Operator you sign up with.

These terms apply to both Operators who use the platform and Customers who sign up for service through an Operator's site.

2. Operators — Platform Fee

Operators may create an account and launch a site at no upfront cost. Curbmate charges a platform fee equal to 15% of the Operator's monthly earnings, billed to the payment card the Operator keeps on file. There is no flat monthly subscription — if an Operator earns nothing in a period, no fee is charged.

Operators are independent businesses, not employees or agents of Curbmate. Operators set their own prices, service areas, and schedules, and are solely responsible for the service they provide to their Customers.

3. Customers — Service & Payment

When you sign up as a Customer on an Operator's site, you are entering into a service arrangement with that Operator, not with Curbmate. Prices are set by the Operator and shown at checkout.

Payments made through an Operator's checkout (via Cash App, PayPal, Venmo, or card) go directly to that Operator. Curbmate does not hold or process Customer payments and is not responsible for refunds, which are handled by the Operator.

4. Cancellation

Operators may close their account at any time from their dashboard; the platform fee stops once the account is closed. Customers may cancel service at any time by contacting the Operator they signed up with. No refunds are issued for service periods already rendered.

5. Responsibilities

Operators agree to provide the service they advertise, comply with all local laws, and handle Customer data responsibly. Customers agree to make bins accessible on pickup day with no hazards (e.g. locked gates, blocked driveways).

6. Liability

Because Curbmate provides software and not the physical service, Curbmate is not responsible for missed pickups, service quality, or disputes between Operators and their Customers. Curbmate's total liability to any user is limited to the fees that user paid to Curbmate in the prior 30 days.

Operators are not responsible for missed pickups due to circumstances outside their control, including severe weather, municipal schedule changes, holidays, or road closures.

7. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify active Operators of significant changes.
